32 ans après l’infâme massacre, le camp de Shatila pour les réfugiés palestiniens est toujours là, bien plus pauvre et surpeuplé qu’avant, et en plus isolé de la moderne et fastueuse Beyrouth, qui se trouve au-delà des checkpoints. Omar Ghannoum est un membre du groupe Ma’an (Ensemble), composé de 17 jeunes des camps de réfugiés de Shatila et Burj El Barajneh au sud de Beyrouth, au Liban. Omar raconte à Eamonn Sheehy la vie d’aujourd’hui dans le camp de Shatila, qui a récemment accueilli un afflux de réfugiés en provenance de Syrie.

I can say that the Lebanese youth in general are still distant from the Palestinian youth in Lebanon. Because of the Lebanese army check points in front of the Palestinian camps and the legal discrimination against us, we are forced into isolation here.
